Margao: An unidentified man, aged around 45, was found dead on the railway track in Curchorem on Thursday. Police suspect he was hit by a train.Police sources said the man’s body was lying between the tracks. A duty doctor of South Western Railway examined him and declared him dead.Police visited the spot and conducted an inquiry. Preliminary findings suggest the man was a labourer and may have died after being hit by a running train. The police conducted the inquest panchanama and shifted the body to South Goa District Hospital (SGDH), Margao, where it has been preserved for medico-legal formalities.The deceased is yet to be identified.Railway police have registered a case of unnatural death.
