Notice to Shreyas Foundation over fee records
FRC has given the foundation a seven-day window to submit documents

Ahmedabad: Ahmedabad Zone of the Fee Regulatory Committee (FRC) has issued a show-cause notice to Shreyas Foundation (Shreyas Hills), located in Ambawadi, for failing to submit essential financial documents required to determine fees for the 2026-27 academic year. The FRC said the school management had been given several opportunities for hearings but failed to provide complete accounts and supporting documents. The committee has now granted it a final seven-day window to submit all accounting records of the school and trust, along with evidence related to outreach activities. Failing this, the FRC warned that it would pass a decision based on the records available.According to the notice, discrepancies were found between the consolidated accounts submitted by the school and the original ledger accounts of the trust. For repairs and maintenance, consolidated records show expenditure of Rs 23.9 lakh, while the ledgers recorded Rs 20.1 lakh as school expenditure and Rs 3.9 lakh as trust expenditure. Computer maintenance expenses were shown at Rs 3.9 lakh in the consolidated statement, compared with Rs 3.8 lakh for the school and Rs 14,225 for the trust in the ledger.Discrepancies were also noted in electrical work, professional fees and stationery expenses. The committee has sought clarification on whether expenses related to outreach activities were included in school expenditure. The FRC has also sought details of weekend outreach activities, CBSE coaching and fees collected from the public. Bank statements, salary records and audit-related payments have been demanded. Since the foundation is GST-registered, copies of GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C have also been sought to verify GST collection and input tax credit claims.
