The Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation has launched an affordable ambulance service

ULHASNAGAR: The Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation (UMC) on Tuesday launched an affordable ambulance service by inducting four new ambulances into its health department fleet, aiming to strengthen emergency medical services and ensure timely healthcare for residents.The ambulances were inaugurated in the presence of Mayor Ashwini Kamlesh Nikam, Ex MLA Pappu Kalani, Standing Committee chairman Kulwant Singh Sohata, Health Committee chairperson Savita Ragde, BJP group leader Rajesh Wadharya and other corporators and civic officials.Mayor Ashwini Nikam said, “The initiative has been launched under the guidance of Kalyan Loksabha MP Dr Shrikant Shinde and fulfils a pre-election promise made by former MLA Pappu Kalani to provide affordable ambulance services to Ulhasnagar residents”.Health Committee chairperson Savita Torane Ragde said the service would ensure that patients receive quick, safe and affordable transportation during medical emergencies, particularly benefiting economically weaker sections of society.
