Pune: A Dhayari resident (35) has lodged a complaint against an already arrested man from Karvenagar, alleging that he cheated him of Rs 15 lakh by promising him a job as a junior engineer with Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).The Parvati police registered a case of cheating against Patil on Wednesday. The complainant currently works with a private engineering company.The cheating took place between Dec 2023 and July. The suspect allegedly gave the complainant a fake PMC appointment letter earlier this year. When the complainant approached PMC with the letter, officials informed him that it was a fake.Rajendra Sahane, senior inspector of Parvati police station, told TOI, “The Shivajinagar police have already arrested the suspect, Shivanand Patil (45) in a similar job fraud case.”“So far, four separate job fraud cases have been registered against him,” Sahane said.
