PALGHAR: Revenue assistant Snehal Sawant, posted at the Palghar Collector’s Office, has died after sustaining serious injuries in an alleged sickle attack by her boyfriend.Sawant was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Pune, where she died on Wednesday.On June 12, 2026, Amol Mule allegedly attacked Sawant with a sickle in the Gold Cinema area of Palghar city. She suffered serious injuries and was initially treated at a private hospital in Boisar.As her condition remained critical, she was later shifted to Pune for further treatment.Sawant died after battling her injuries for more than two months.
