NEW DELHI: A 71-year-old woman died and her husband was injured after a car hit multiple vehicles before mowing down the pedestrian couple near Kailash Colony Metro Station in Greater Kailash-1 on Sunday, police said.According to police, a PCR call regarding the road accident was received at Greater Kailash-1 police station on August 23.The driver allegedly hit several vehicles before striking the couple. The injured pedestrians were rushed to Moolchand Hospital, where the woman, identified as Shashi (71), was declared brought dead.Her husband, Kulbhushan (65), sustained injuries in the accident and was later declared fit to give a statement, police said.A case has been registered under sections 281, 125(a) and 106 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The accused driver has been arrested.
