Kolkata: A 20-year-old woman was allegedly molested by a app-biker around 9.30 pm at the crossing of Brabourne Road and Jackson Lane on Wednesday. The woman, a resident of Beckbagan, was traveling as a pillion rider on another bike when the accused motorcyclist intercepted the vehicle. The rider, operating a two-wheeler for a bike-pooling aggregator, touched her inappropriately. . He allegedly outraged her modesty on the road and fled the spot before onlookers could intervene.The Burrabazar Police Station registered an FIR on July 3, 2026. Investigators have traced the registration number of the motorcycle involved and are contacting the ride-hailing platform to get the personal details, driving license, and GPS trip logs of the rider assigned to that vehicle during the time of the crime.Police are also scanning CCTV footage from the Brabourne Road intersection to map the suspect’s escape route and secure a clear visual profile.
