Vasco: Vasco police have registered an offence against unidentified persons for allegedly creating and circulating a forged electronic poster claiming that a woman and a state cabinet minister were legally married.Police said the accused allegedly created the fake poster on Sept 19, featuring photographs of the woman and the minister along with congratulatory content stating that the two were “legally hitched”.The poster was then allegedly published and circulated as genuine through various social media handles with the intention of harming the woman’s reputation, police said. The identity of the woman who filed the complaint has been withheld by police.The case has been registered under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
