PALGHAR: Two 17-year-old boys have been detained for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl and filming the assault in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, police said on Monday.According to police, the girl had become friends with one of the accused on Instagram. On July 11, he allegedly called her to a local chawl on the pretext of discussing an urgent matter.Police said the two boys then allegedly assaulted the girl and recorded the incident. They also allegedly threatened to kill her brother if she told anyone about it.The incident came to light on August 15 after the girl’s uncle found the video online.Following a complaint by the girl, police registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Information Technology Act.
