Pune: A 21-year-old man from Sangamner in Ahilyanagar district and his three-year-old daughter died, while his wife, younger daughter and a relative sustained injuries after their motorcycle was hit by a truck at 1pm on Sunday at Udapur village near Otur on Kalyan-Nagar Highway, around 90km from Pune.The Otur police identified the deceased father-daughter duo as Ajay (21) and Anuja Dudhwade (3). His wife Saloni (19), daughter Tanuja (five months), and Sudarshan Kedar of Junnar are undergoing treatment in a nearby hospital.An officer from the Otur police said a tomato-laden truck hit the motorcycle. The truck was heading towards Kalyan from Narayangaon, while the motorcycle was in the opposite direction. “Five people, including the two children, were on the motorcycle. We have registered a case of death by negligence against the truck driver,” he added.
