Maharashtra govt plans youth conclave in 2026 focused on sports and technology

Mumbai: The state govt is planning a three-day youth festival, ‘Developed India Youth Conclave – 2026’, to be held in Pune at the Balewadi sports complex. It will focus on sports, innovation, technology, entrepreneurship and culture.Around 1,000 delegates — 300 from Maharashtra and the rest from different parts of the country — are expected to attend while over one lakh footfalls are expected from across the state. At a meeting on Wednesday at his official residence to discuss the festival, CM Devendra Fadnavis said a large amount of funds will be made available from the Central govt under ‘Khelo India’. The state should focus on private sector investment and public-private partnership in the sports sector, along with effective participation in central schemes and ensure coordination with sports foundations in the corporate sector to develop sports infrastructure.
