Lohagad murder victim’s father writes to President, seeks fast trial
Realtor Ketan Agarwal was allegedly murdered in Lohagad by his fiancée and her boyfriend on June 18

Pune: Vishal Agarwal, the father of murdered realtor Ketan Agarwal, this week sent an email to President Droupadi Murmu, requesting her to personally look into the case and help the family secure justice for his son.Vishal said he sent the email to the President on July 8, requesting that those responsible for his son’s murder get the strictest punishment under the law without delay. He mentioned in the email that he was writing not as a businessman but as a father seeking justice for his son. He said the entire family’s life changed the day Ketan was brutally murdered.Ketan was allegedly murdered in Lohagad by his fiancée and her boyfriend on June 18.“Within 20 days of losing Ketan, I lost my father. He loved his grandson more than anything. He could not bear the shock and grief of Ketan’s death. His blood pressure dropped and eventually his heart stopped working. Our family has been shattered,” Vishal’s email stated.He said the family was not seeking any special treatment. “We only want the case to be heard in a fast-track court so that my son gets justice at the earliest. The people who did this should receive the strictest punishment under the law. Delay in justice only increases the pain of families like ours,” the email stated.Vishal said punishing the accused would not only give his family some peace but also send a strong message that innocent lives matter and such crimes would not be tolerated, the email stated.
