Deported Surat Couple Alleges ₹31.5L Fraud By ConsultantSurat: A couple accused an immigration consultancy of cheating them of Rs 31.5 lakh after promising them UK work visas and related documentation. The couple was deported from London’s Heathrow airport in Oct 2023, after immigration authorities found their papers invalid, police said.Vaishali Vanani, 27, filed a complaint with Utran police alleging that representatives of Campusflix Immigration and Education Pvt Ltd, based at Shrinathji Icon in Utran, collected money from her and her husband on the promise of arranging UK work visas, completing documentation and facilitating their travel to the UK.The couple was allegedly assured that all visa-related paperwork and formalities would be completed before their journey.The complaint states that they travelled to the UK on Oct 21, 2023, but were deported from Heathrow airport on Oct 22, 2023. Immigration authorities informed them that their documents were invalid and denied them entry.Vaishali alleged that despite repeated requests, the firm and its representatives failed to return their money, saying their financial losses amounted to Rs 31.5 lakh.The FIR names Suketu Makani and Pankaj Vasava as accused. The complaint alleges that both were involved in handling the couple’s emigration process and the collection of funds.
