Chennai: A 23-year-old diploma graduate from Tirunelveli died after falling from a flyover when the motorcycle he was riding on crashed into a median barrier on the Ennore Expressway near Manali on Monday. His friend suffered serious injuries and was admitted to govt hospital.The deceased was identified as Mohanasundar, 23, from Tirunelveli. His friend, Sriharan, 24, of Korattur in Chennai, was injured in the accident.Police said the two diploma holders applied for trainee positions at a private heavy vehicle manufacturing company in Ennore and travelled to attend an interview. After the interview, while crossing the Kathivakkam flyover on the Ennore Expressway, the motorcycle reportedly lost balance and crashed into the median barrier. Due to the impact, Mohanasundar was thrown off the flyover, while Sriharan fell onto the road and suffered serious injuries.Later, the injured Sriharan was rushed to the Govt Stanley Medical College Hospital for treatment, while the Mohanasundar’s body was sent to the GH for an autopsy.The Red Hills Traffic Investigation Wing police registered a case.
