Pune: The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) raided a chemical-producing company at Kurkumbh MIDC in the early hours of Monday, on the Pune-Solapur highway.“We have seized the chemicals and are probing whether these were drugs. Samples have been sent for forensic examination,” said a senior ANTF officer.“We received information that the company was illegally producing synthetic drugs. We can comment on it only after receiving the forensic reports,” the officer said.In Feb 2024, the Pune city police raided a company in Kurkumbh and seized mephedrone (MD) worth Rs2,200 crore. In Aug 2016, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) busted an MD manufacturing laboratory in the Kurkumbh industrial area.
