Ahmedabad: A dispute allegedly triggered when a bicycle brushed against a two-wheeler in Fatehwadi escalated into a violent clash involving knives, swords and sticks, leaving six persons injured and prompting cross FIRs at Vejalpur police station.Police said members of two families have accused each other of carrying out the attack. The injured were admitted to different hospitals, with two of them currently undergoing treatment in trauma wards.According to the first FIR, lodged by 19-year-old Navezkhan Pathan, the complainant was returning home when Ibrahim alias Bha and his sons, Humayu and Razak, allegedly confronted him. Navezkhan alleged that the trio demanded to know the whereabouts of his relative, Ashif Pathan, claiming they had earlier argued with him. When he replied that he did not know where Ashif was, they allegedly assaulted him.However, in a cross-complaint, Ibrahim alias Bha Ansari (48) alleged that he and his sons were attacked by Ashif and his relatives when they went to question Ashif about an earlier dispute involving Ibrahim’s son, Humayu, and a boy riding a bicycle.Police said the earlier dispute allegedly stemmed from an incident in which a bicycle ridden by Mohammad, Ashif’s nephew, collided with a two-wheeler ridden by Humayu and Tabrez alias Razak.
