Ahmedabad fire crew rescue toddler locked inside room in Hathijan flat

Ahmedabad: A toddler’s playtime turned into an anxious wait for her mother after she accidentally locked herself inside a room at a housing complex in Hathijan. The one-and-a-half-year-old girl remained trapped for a short while before fire personnel arrived. Responding within minutes of the emergency call, the team rescued the child safely.She was reunited with her mother without any injuries.The incident occurred at the Pandit Deendayal-3 residential complex in Vivekanandnagar. The toddler was playing in a room while her mother was working in the kitchen when she accidentally pushed the door stopper, locking herself inside.As the mother was alone at home and unable to open the door, she dialled the 112 emergency helpline. The control room received the call at 6.36pm and a fire brigade team was dispatched within two minutes.The rescue team reached the spot at 6.54pm and safely opened the locked room within minutes. The child was rescued unharmed at 6.56pm and reunited with her relieved mother.No injuries were reported.Fire officials said the swift response by the emergency team prevented the situation from worsening.
