Surat: A 22-year-old student died on Wednesday after suffering severe internal injuries in a hit-and-run near Civil Hospital in Surat. Khatodara police have registered an FIR and are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the vehicle involved.Sneha Ghori, a resident of the Lambe Hanuman Road area, was on her way to Vanita Vishram College on her electric vehicle on Wednesday morning. Near the Civil Hospital gate, before the Majura flyover, an unidentified vehicle hit her vehicle.She was taken to a private hospital around 7.30am. Doctors found serious injuries to her kidneys, liver and ribs, along with heavy internal bleeding. Ghori died around 6pm.Khatodara police inspector N V Bharwad said, “We have registered an FIR and are investigating who hit her vehicle and who was at fault. We are accessing CCTV footage from nearby establishments. We are yet to identify the accused.”
