Pune: An 18-year-old farmer from Shirur taluka was electrocuted on Wednesday evening, trying to pump water for his cattle on the farm.The incident happened at Savindane village in Shirur taluka, about 60 km from Pune around 7.30 pm. The Pune Rural police have identified the deceased farmer as Ganesh Bhor. An officer said, “It was raining in Savindane on Wednesday. Bhor went to his farm to start the water pump to give water to his cattle. When he did not return home, his father went to the farm and found Bhor lying unconscious near the pump. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where the doctors pronounced him dead.”
