14-year-old dies in Airoli hospital, family go to police

Navi Mumbai: A 14-year-old schoolboy residing in a chawl in Digha, who was admitted to a private hospital in Airoli node on July 17 after he complained of severe abdominal pain, died after 12 hours of treatment.The parents of the deceased boy, supported by Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi political party workers, lodged a complaint at Rabale MIDC police station against the doctors concerned of the private hospital.When questioned by the VBA workers, the doctors claimed the negligence allegation by the patient’s parents was false.The deceased boy was identified as Prabodhan Shinde. He was a student of Class 9, residing with his parents at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar chawl, Vishnu Nagar, Digha.
