New Delhi: Delhi Police Sunday took Anya Vats and Sanyam Sachdeva, accused in the Yuvraj Singh Manchanda murder case, to Gurgaon for a reconstruction of the crime sequence, including how he was allegedly killed, the route the two took with his body and the places where they stopped and parked.Meanwhile, Yuvraj’s sister has moved Saket court seeking urgent directions for the production and preservation of records, articles, electronic and digital material, and other material in the custody or possession of cops at Badshahpur police station in Gurgaon. The court order read, “Let a notice of this application be issued to commissioner of police, Gurgaon to preserve and produce the record… before the concerned court on Sept 22... and the said record be handed over to the IO of the instant case FIR for further investigation.”Police sources said the reconstruction covered the entire trail — from Sector 70 where Yuvraj was allegedly called on Sept 6 as well as Sector 65 and locations along Dwarka Expressway that the two visited while carrying his body. They were also taken to a drain where his body was allegedly dumped.Police sources said the accused claimed that they shot Yuvraj and that a pistol was subsequently recovered from Gurgaon at their instance.Police have found that the couple allegedly used to target people close to them, including a former schoolmate of Sachdeva, who was duped of over Rs 1.2 crore after sending him a fake Enforcement Directorate (ED) notice. The cheating case was registered at Parliament Street police station this Aug. The duo allegedly also used fabricated notices in the name of Union home ministry, citing fake cases under Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, to coerce him into transferring money.“Digital devices were sent to check whether they prepared these notices on the devices and whether they had deleted them, so that the notices could be retrieved,” police sources said.
