Pune: The district administration on Saturday extended the landowners’ deadline to submit consent affidavits till Aug 16 for the proposed Chhatrapati Sambhajiraje International Airport in Purandar.Pune collector Jitendra Dudi said, “We have extended the deadline till Aug 16 to enable the remaining landowners to come forward voluntarily. Our effort is to complete the acquisition through dialogue and consensus.”The earlier deadline to submit consent affidavits was July 31.The administration has so far received consent affidavits for 1,125 hectares (92.5%). Pune collector Dudi said the district administration had completed land acquisition and compensation disbursal for 630 hectares (52%).
