Ahmedabad: Bopal police have arrested a 19-year-old man from Rajasthan in connection with an accident on DPS Canal Road in which a 29-year-old woman was killed early on Saturday.The woman got married about two months ago.Police traced the teen to his native village in Dungarpur district to which he had allegedly fled after the accident.According to police, the accident occurred when the teen was allegedly riding his motorcycle at high speed and in a rash manner. He collided with a scooter ridden by Nishi Darji near a three-way junction on DPS Canal Road.Darji sustained serious injuries in the collision and was taken to a private hospital in Shela, where doctors declared her dead around 12.50am on Saturday.Her husband, Hardik Darji, a choreographer, registered a complaint with Bopal police in which he stated that on the night of the accident, he met his wife at Pakwan Crossroads after finishing his class. They then travelled home on separate two-wheelers.Police said CCTV footage and statements of witnesses helped them identify the motorcycle rider. He had been undergoing treatment at Sola Civil Hospital but allegedly left without informing doctors.The rider was brought to Ahmedabad and arrested on Wednesday morning.
