Sushil Kumar Gaikwad, a senior police officer, suffered a cardiac arrest while traveling to work.
MUMBAI: A senior police officer suffered a cardiac arrest in the official police vehicle while travelling to work on Tuesday morning and was later pronounced dead in a local hospital.Sushil Kumar Gaikwad was on his way to the Kurar police station in Malad East when the incident happened. Gaikwad was in his mid fifties. He had taken charge of the Kurar police station in July this year.Officials said he complained of uneasiness in the vehicle and had collapsed by the time the vehicle reached the police station. He was then rushed to a local hospital by his colleagues. His colleagues said he had no heart ailments and had spoken to them on Monday night when he was feeling fine.
