‘It’s a Medical Miracle ’ and ‘Enna Vilai ’
The Malayalam supernatural comedy ‘It’s a Medical Miracle’ will premiere on ManoramaMAX on October 15, 2026, according to Filmibeat. Directed by Shyamin Gireesh, the film stars Sangeeth Prathap, Sharaf U Dheen and Akhila Bhargavan. Nileen Sandra has written the story, screenplay and dialogues. The film originally opened in theaters on September 18, 2026, and combines supernatural elements with comedy.The Tamil social drama ‘Enna Vilai’ will also begin streaming on October 15, this time on Netflix. Directed by Sajeev Pazhoor, the film features Karunas, Nimisha Sajayan, Vijayalakshmi Veeramani, Shashaa Shivakumar, Kamalesh Jagan, Heesha, Chethan Cheenu and Mohan Raman.Set in Rameswaram, the story follows Thavasi Muthu, a family man who collects coins from the sea after temple visitors throw them into the water. He hopes to improve his children’s lives through better education. His circumstances change when he discovers a valuable gold pendant underwater.
‘Oru Anweshanathinte Thudakkam ’
The Malayalam crime thriller ‘Oru Anweshanathinte Thudakkam’ is scheduled to premiere on Sun NXT on October 16, 2026. The film, directed by M. A. Nishad, was released theatrically on November 8, 2024.Shine Tom Chacko and Vani Viswanath lead the cast. Samuthirakani, Mukesh, Sshivada, Swasika, Durga Krishna, Anumol and Manju Pillai also appear in the film. Sun NXT announced the digital premiere through a social media post on October 10.
‘Adinaasam Vellapokkam’
Another Malayalam release, ‘Adinaasam Vellapokkam’, is set to arrive on Saina Play on October 16, 2026. Directed by A. J. Varghese, the comedy thriller originally reached theaters in December 2025.The film stars Shine Tom Chacko and Baiju Santhosh. Its story follows a group of students whose lives take an unexpected turn after they cross paths with a gangster. The narrative blends suspense with comedy and when it hit the big screens in theatres, the film didn’t get much attention. After the OTT release, ‘Adinaasam Vellapokkam’ is expected to get more viewers.
‘DC’
The Tamil romantic action film ‘DC’ is scheduled to premiere on SonyLIV on October 16, 2026. Arun Matheswaran has directed the film, which features Lokesh Kanagaraj, Wamiqa Gabbi, Sanjana Krishnamoorthy, Thalaivasal Vijay, Avinash Raghudevan, Balaji Deviprasad, Sharath Raj and Kasthuri Raja.The story centers on Devadas, a rebellious man who leads a small group and follows his own moral code. After defending a farmer’s family, he finds himself pursued by a determined unit. His relationship with Parvathy changes his life, while her tragic fate strengthens his desire for revenge. The movie had received much love from the audiences when it hit the big screens, especially for the soundtrack composed by Anirudh.
‘Dorothy’ reportedly heads to THIS OTT platform
‘Dorothy’, directed by Karthik Subbaraj as his tenth film, is reportedly set to stream on Netflix on October 23, 2026. The film was released in theaters on September 25. Reports by Filmibeat and other publications say that Netflix is its post-theatrical digital partner, with the streaming deal reportedly indicated in the opening credits.The cast includes Lokesh Kanagaraj, Wamiqa Gabbi, Sanjana Krishnamoorthy, Thalaivasal Vijay, Avinash Raghudevan, Balaji Deviprasad, Sharath Raj and Kasthuri Raja.
