Surat: Gujarat will get another Vande Bharat service this week with Western Railway introducing a direct Surat-Udaipur train, improving rail connectivity between south Gujarat and Rajasthan and adding a faster travel option for business and leisure passengers.Announcing the service, Western Railway chief public relations officer Vineet Abhishek said Train No. 26903 Surat-Udaipur Vande Bharat Express will depart Surat at 6.10am every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and reach Udaipur at 1.40pm the same day. The service will commence from Sunday.The return service, Train No. 26904 Udaipur-Surat Vande Bharat Express, will leave Udaipur at 3.35pm on the same six days and arrive in Surat at 11pm. It will start operations from Saturday.The train will halt at Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand, Maninagar, Asarva, Himmatnagar, Shamlaji Road, Dungarpur and Zawar in both directions.According to railway officials, the train will comprise Executive Chair Car and AC Chair Car coaches.Western Railway said booking for Train No. 26903 will open on Thursday at Passenger Reservation System counters and through the IRCTC website.
