Ponda: Water resources minister Subhash Shirodkar has assured residents that at least 90% of irregular water supply issues across Ponda taluka, particularly villages on the town’s outskirts, will be resolved within a week.Shirodkar gave the assurance at a Janata Darbar held at the Ponda municipal hall, where most grievances concerned water supply. He said he would review compliance with his directions at the next Janata Darbar on Tuesday.PMC chairperson Virendra Dhavalikar said councillors and residents had raised several issues, which the minister assured would be addressed.Councillor Ritesh Ravi Naik said his father, Ravi Naik, had proposed replacing the corroded water pipeline between Curti and Khandepar. “Shirodkar has assured us to further the plan to replace the pipeline,” he said.
