ESIC workers in Gujarat get unlimited access to super-speciality treatment
MoUs were signed with six leading healthcare institutions.

Gandhinagar: Workers and their families covered under the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) in Gujarat can now avail tertiary and super-speciality treatment without any cap on expenditure after MoUs were signed with six leading healthcare institutions.The agreements, signed on Thursday in Gandhinagar in the presence of labour and employment minister Kunvarji Bavaliya, aim to ensure timely and quality treatment for insured workers and their dependents, especially in cases involving critical illnesses and medical emergencies.“Healthy workers are the foundation of a strong economy and nation-building,” Bavaliya said, adding that the initiative would offer health security as well as financial relief to lakhs of worker families.The six institutions that signed the latest MoUs with ESIC Gujarat are Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital and Research Centre, Dharampur; Shrimad Rajchandra Sarvamangal Hospital and CU Shah Medical College, Surendranagar; Shree Giriraj Hospital, Rajkot; Gokul Lifecare Pvt Ltd, Rajkot; NM Virani Wockhardt Hospital Ltd; and Dr Bhatt Pathology Laboratory, Rajkot.Govt said ESIC Gujarat has now signed MoUs with 32 healthcare institutions. The network includes major centres such as the UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre, GMERS hospitals, Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute (GCRI), Institute of Kidney Diseases and Research Centre, and AIIMS Rajkot.
