Surat: A 13-year-old boy died by suicide at his home in the Chowk Bazaar area on Monday evening. Police said no suicide note was found and the reason behind the incident has not yet been established.According to police, the boy was found hanged from a ceiling fan at his residence in Laxmi Nagar Society. His father, a migrant labourer who had come to Surat for work, discovered him and immediately called an ambulance but was pronounced dead.Some relatives said the teenager was addicted to mobile phones and may have taken the step after being reprimanded by his parents for not completing his homework. Police said the parents have not made any such statement.An unnatural death has been registered and further investigation is underway.
