Tuition Teacher Stabbed to Death, Police Search for Husband

New Delhi: A 50-year-old tuition teacher was stabbed to death at her home in east Delhi’s Gagan Vihar Thursday. Police are searching for her absconding husband, who is a prime suspect in the case. The deceased has been identified as Komal. Her husband Kamal taught computer classes online.According to investigators, Kamal allegedly attacked Komal around 2 pm before locking the second-floor house from the outside and escaping. CCTV footage shows him leaving the house. The murder remained undetected for nearly seven hours.The body was discovered around 9 pm when their son, Dr Gaurav Singh, returned home. Gaurav, who is preparing for postgraduate medical entrance examinations, had been studying at a library and returned in the evening. “Finding the house locked, he used a spare key to enter the residence, where he found his mother lying in a pool of blood with multiple stab injuries to her neck and back,” a senior police officer said.The couple’s daughter, Gaurika, who teaches German, was also away at work at the time of the incident.The couple had been married for over 27 years, but domestic disagreements and a property dispute had escalated tensions between them of late. The man attacked her during the afternoon, knowing both his son and daughter would be away from home, cops said.A murder case has been registered at the Jagatpuri police station.
