After clicking on a link for net banking assistance, he received a call from a man posing as a bank official,” the officer said. The caller allegedly sent an APK file and asked the victim to enter his personal and banking details, assuring him the service would be restored within 24 hours. Instead, Rs 3 lakh was withdrawn from his account in two transactions. Realising he had been cheated, the victim approached the police.
