Ahmedabad: A mild tremor of 2.6 magnitude was recorded in Ahmedabad district early on Thursday, the Institute of Seismological Research (ISR) said.The tremor was recorded at 4.39am, with its epicentre located 29km south-southwest of Ahmedabad, the Gandhinagar-based institute said.According to ISR, the depth of the tremor was recorded at about 20km below the ground surface. Because of its low intensity, the tremor had no significant impact and was felt by only a few people.IIT-Gn signs MoU to advance AI researchAhmedabad: IIT Gandhinagar (IIT-Gn) signed an MoU with the Indian AI Research Organisation (IAIRO) to enhance collaboration in areas of artificial intelligence research, education, innovation and talent development. According to IIT-Gn officials, the institute and IAIRO will work together on research projects, apply jointly for research grants and explore opportunities to build AI infrastructure with external funding. The two institutions will also work together to develop and deliver short courses, certificate programmes, conferences, seminars, workshops and other academic events related to artificial intelligence.
