Panaji: A 19-year-old resident of Margao, Yash Mehta, died in a road accident after he was stuck in a car which caught fire on Saturday.Agasaim PI Anant Gaonkar said that the accident took place in the wee hours on Saturday near Sainik Aram Ghar on NH 66.Gaonkar said that 18-year-old Harsh Jain was driving a car in a rash and negligent manner while proceeding from Panaji to Goa-Velha side.“He lost control of the vehicle, which dashed against the crash barrier and veered onto the service road. Due to the impact of the collision, the vehicle caught fire,” Gaonkar said.“Out of the three occupants of the vehicle, one occupant, Mehta, got stuck in car and was later rescued and taken to GMC where he was declared brought dead,” the PI said.
