Gandhinagar: Youth participation, community service and innovation were the focus of events held in Ahmedabad on Friday under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, organised to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public life.Patel also highlighted Gujarat’s growth in the semiconductor sector and urged young people to contribute to the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. He said water conservation, natural farming and innovation would be crucial to building a developed Gujarat and achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.The campaign also saw around 1,000 volunteers taking part in twin motorcycle yatras between Vadnagar and Varanasi. The yatras, involving 500 motorcycles, will cover around 40,000km across 10 states, 193 districts and 1,159 villages. The campaign began on Sept 17 and is scheduled to conclude on Oct 7. Patel symbolically joined one of the routes by riding a motorcycle when the yatra reached Sanand.In Ahmedabad, deputy chief minister Harsh Sanghavi led a motorcycle rally that was received at Vastral Metro junction. Residents showered the bikers with flowers and handed service pledge forms to Sanghavi.Through the pledges, residents committed themselves to organ and blood donation, cleanliness drives, tree planting, overcoming addictions and helping needy families.
