MUMBAI: Reinforcing its commitment to electrical safety and community awareness, Tata Power on Monday conducted a series of electrical safety and awareness drives across Mumbai involving employees, business associates and frontline teams. The initiative focused on promoting safe electrical practices, improving monsoon preparedness and strengthening operational resilience across its network.As part of the campaign, Tata Power inspected electrical installations, earthing systems, Earth Leakage Circuit Breakers (ELCBs), power tools and personal protective equipment (PPE). Teams also carried out thermographic inspections and refurbished earth pits to identify potential risks and prevent electrical hazards. These measures aim to improve asset reliability and ensure an uninterrupted and safe power supply, especially during the monsoon season.Extending the initiative beyond its workplaces, Tata Power organised awareness programmes in schools in Parel, Borivali, Trombay, Carnac Bunder and Kalyan. Students were educated about electrical safety and encouraged to follow safe practices in their daily lives. The company said the initiative aims to empower children to become ambassadors of electrical safety in their homes and communities.The drives also highlighted the importance of identifying risks early and carrying out preventive maintenance, reinforcing Tata Power’s commitment to building a strong safety culture while protecting people, infrastructure and communities across Mumbai.
