Margao: State govt has appointed a new district magistrate for Kushavati, withGurudas Desai taking over as the collector of the newly notified district. Desai will also hold additional charge as managing director of the Goa Human Resource Development Corporation (GHRDC).Desai, who was serving as additional collector-I, North, with additional charge of the GHRDC, will be the district’s second magistrate since its notification. South Goa collector Egna Cleetus was holding additional charge of Kushavati.Pravin Parab, currently additional collector-II, North, has been posted as additional collector-I, North, while Akshay Potekar, presently director (administration) in the office of the director general of police, takes over as additional collector-II, North.Sandra DeSouza, who was awaiting posting, has been assigned as director (administration) in the office of the director general of police. She will continue to additionally hold charge as deputy director (administration), labour and employment, until further orders.
