New Delhi: A nine-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a 40-year-old neighbour in northwest Delhi’s Swaroop Nagar, police said. The accused was arrested.According to police, the accused took her to his room Monday. The girl told officers that he threatened her and sexually assaulted her.Cops are verifying a claim that the girl was abducted from her house.Police said the accused was known to the girl’s family and was regarded as an uncle from their village. He had come to Delhi around seven months ago in search of work.In another case, a 13-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted in outer Delhi’s Narela area, police said.According to police, the girl had met the accused boy through social media and had been in contact with him on the phone. On Tuesday night, the boy allegedly called her and asked her to come downstairs from her house.When she came out, she allegedly found the boy accompanied by two of his friends. The three allegedly took her away against her will.Cops said one of the boys allegedly sexually assaulted the girl. She also alleged that his two friends recorded the incident. Police are verifying the claim.The accused allegedly threatened to kill the girl if she told anyone about the incident and later left her near her home.After returning home, the girl told her mother about the incident.
