Kolkata: Sandip Chakraborty has been appointed the interim vice-chancellor of Rabindra Bharati University for six months. Chakraborty is the dean of faculty of visual arts. Former VC Sonali Chakravarti Banerjee resigned on June 4. Since then, the post has remained vacant. During this period, RBU teachers’ association wrote to the state requesting the post be filled.
