Surat: A 14-year-old minor girl was allegedly raped by her colleague, who is also a minor, in Sachin area of Surat, police said. The victim was allegedly abducted from Madhya Pradesh a couple of months ago and a police complaint was registered. After coming to Surat, she had started living with a couple and started working in a textile unit. Around 10 days back, her co-worker, a 16-year-old boy, took her to his house and sexually assaulted her for two days, police added.“Based on a complaint registered by the victim’s father, police booked the minor accused who is yet to be detained. The victim and her family members had shifted to MP from Surat in February. She was in contact with a male friend from Surat.

Two months ago, the victim had left her home with the help of her friend and came back to Surat. She started living in Sachin with a married couple who was known to her friend,” said Surat City ACP NP Govil.The victim’s male friend went to Uttar Pradesh and during this time she had an argument with the couple who had given her shelter. She left their home after the altercation, police said.“As the victim’s male friend had gone to UP, her 16-year-old colleague took her to his home under some pretext. The minor boy raped her repeatedly over two days, threatening her not to reveal her ordeal. When the victim’s friend came to know about the incident in UP, he informed her parents and other relatives. Her father came to Surat and filed a complaint,” ACP Govil added.The 16-year-old minor, who hails from Bihar, has been booked and a search operation to locate him is underway, police said.
