Mumbai: A severed human leg was found entangled under a long-distance train coach at CSMT on Friday. The limb was sent to St George’s Hospital by the Govt Railway Police (GRP), and an investigation was started.During the maintenance of 11058 UP Amritsar–CSMT Express train on July 17, the on-duty maintenance staff, during the undergear examination of the coach, noticed an amputated human body part (most likely a leg below the knee) entangled under Coach M2. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) and GRP were informed immediately through the station manager. The GRP rushed to the spot for panchanama and other formalities, and the body part was sent to St George’s Govt Hospital for further action. It is likely to be a case of a person being run over in an accident.
