Chennai: A minor fire broke out at a plastic goods warehouse on the third floor of a residential building in Pudupet on Wednesday. No casualties were reported.According to officials, the fire erupted at the warehouse on Narayana Street. Residents noticed thick smoke billowing from the building and alerted the fire and rescue services around 1.15pm. The flames spread rapidly through the warehouse, gutting the combustible plastic materials stored inside.Four fire tenders from the Egmore, Triplicane and Kilpauk fire stations were rushed to the scene. Police and fire and rescue services personnel launched an investigation to ascertain the cause of the accident.
