Ahmedabad: The academic year at Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) commenced on Friday with 101 students from 18 states of India. Suresh Patel, former central vigilance commissioner of India was the chief guest at the ceremony.Chain snatchers target women during rath yatraVadodara: Chain snatchers targeted two women during the Jagannath Rath Yatra in the city on Thursday. The incidents occurred when the procession was passing through Sayajigunj. The accused targeted Janki Parmar and snatched her gold chain worth Rs 1.1 lakh when she was taking prasad being distributed among a crowd of devotees. Another woman identified as Jyoti More too lost her gold chain worth Rs 1.1 lakh when a chain snatcher targeted her in the procession. The Sayajigunj police have filed two separate offences of chain snatching.
