Kolkata: Wellness company VLCC is set to add mental healthcare as a new business vertical as it expands in Bengal, which contributes 25% of its national market share. The company plans to deepen its presence in Kolkata while moving into suburbs and districts.“We want to double our footprint in Bengal in next five years and we will also make significant investments for this. In eastern India, we have 17 clinics and of these, 10 are situated in Kolkata. Seven more clinics are on the cards in the east and four or five of them will be located in Bengal. We have pegged our investment to over Rs 100 crore for business expansion in Bengal market in next five years,” said founder Vandana Luthra.Saying that the new vertical will focus on counselling, Luthra said, “We are seeing a rise in footfall of Gen Z clients. Keeping them in mind, we are contemplating growing our herbal wellness segment. We are also going to start gym services at our clinics and launch wellness service at home.”
