Pune: A 27-year-old medical postgraduate student, succumbed to his injuries during treatment on Friday following a road accident.The accident occurred late on Wednesday night on the Pune-Nashik highway near Chakan. The police identified the deceased as Prashant Dasarwar, a native of Nanded district. His colleague, Mahesh Awale, is undergoing treatment at a hospital.An officer from the Pimpri Chinchwad police said, “Around 10pm on Wednesday, the two doctors were returning home from their duty, when an unidentified vehicle rammed their motorcycle. The vehicle skid and crashed into the road divider. Dasarwar sustained severe head injuries, and was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Moshi, where he succumbed to his injuries on Friday”.
