Dry spell pushes temperatures up in Ahmedabad, Gujarat
The relative humidity (RH) was 73% at 8.30am, which reduced to 50% at 5.30pm

Ahmedabad: Several pockets of the state may experience “above normal to appreciably above normal” maximum temperatures for the next three days, indicated India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast on Tuesday. It is primarily due to the absence of rainfall with no major system in sight.While a monsoon trough is in the north of the state, an upper air cyclonic circulation is developing over north Gujarat and adjoining southwest Rajasthan.In the city, the maximum temperature at 36.8°C was 2.8 degrees higher than normal. At 27.5°C, the minimum temperature was 1.2 degrees higher than normal. The relative humidity (RH) was 73% at 8.30am, which reduced to 50% at 5.30pm. The city on Tuesday experienced partially cloudy weather.In majority of the cities and towns of the state, the maximum temperatures remained above 35°C, with Vallabh Vidyanagar recording 37.3°C.
