Chennai: Neighbourhoods in Teynampet and Adyar zones may experience sewage overflow on July 16, as operations at seven sewage pumping stations will be halted for 24 hours due to pipeline realignment work at Taramani. Metrowater officials said the ongoing work by Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) necessitated the disruption.The affected pumping stations are North Mylapore, South Mylapore, and Ice House in Zone 9 (Teynampet), and Pattinapakkam, R A Puram, Bakthavatsalam Nagar and Adyar in Zone 13 (Adyar).Chennai Metrowater officials said neighbourhoods in Teynampet and Adyar zones may experience sewage overflow.
