Surat: A 31-year-old married man has been arrested in Surat after a woman accused him of rape, sexual abuse and forcing her to terminate two pregnancies.Police said the accused lived in the same neighbourhood as the complainant. Singanpor police arrested the man based on a complaint filed by the 35-year-old woman.According to the complaint, the accused frequently visited her house and developed a rapport with the family while playing with her child. The woman alleged that he bought her small gifts and eventually got her mobile phone number.The woman alleged that the accused took her on an outing in his car and drove to a secluded location, where he raped her. The complaint states he also subjected her to sexual abuse on other occasions.According to the FIR, the woman got pregnant due to the relationship and the accused forced her to take abortion pills without medical consultation, resulting in termination of her pregnancy. The complaint alleges a similar incident occurred a second time.
