Kolkata: The Centre has appointed senior IAS officer Rajesh Pandey as the chairman of the Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC).According to an official order, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved Pandey’s appointment for a five-year term from the date he assumes charge, or until he attains the age of superannuation, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.A 1995-batch IAS officer of the West Bengal cadre, Pandey is currently serving as the additional chief secretary in the state govt’s sports and cooperation departments.
