Panaji: An argument during a football match at Katyabhat, Old Goa, led to a knife attack and the arrest of four youths, Old Goa police said. The incident occurred on Saturday evening at the panchayat ground, with the FIR registered a day later.Police arrested Ayan Didagur, 22, of Corlim, Muneer Khan, 20, of Old Goa, Mohammadjamir Khazi, 20, a Bhoma resident and native of Belagavi, and Roshan Jafarsab Kundgol, 20, of Goa Velha.According to the complaint filed by Manjunath Kamatmani, 23, of Ella, Didagur called Khan and Khazi following the argument. Khan allegedly assaulted Kamatmani and his friend Sachin Tirki with a knife.Khazi and Kundgol allegedly abused Kamatmani and his brother Somling Kamatmani and assaulted them with fist blows.Police registered a case under relevant provisions of the BNS, 2023, for voluntarily causing simple hurt with a dangerous weapon and causing public disturbance.Further investigation is in progress under PSI Diptaraj Gaude.
