Four from Gujarat find place in list of new BJP national office-bearers

Gandhinagar: Four BJP leaders from Gujarat have been named in the list of national office-bearers of Bharatiya Janata Party. While Varsha Doshi has been named national vice-president, Jagdish Patel and Rohan Gupta have been appointed as national secretaries, and Hemang Joshi has been named the new national Yuva Morcha president.

Varsha Doshi from Gujarat has been named BJP national vice-president

Doshi, 66, who hails from Surendranagar district, has been an office-bearer in the state BJP for over three decades. She was first elected as a municipality member in 1995 and served as president of the district Mahila Morcha for two terms. A two-time MLA from Wadhwan, she represented the constituency between 2007 and 2017.Doshi was appointed BJP state vice-president in 2021 and was also appointed as a member of the state parliamentary board earlier this year when state BJP president Jagdish Vishwakarma reconstituted his core team.

Hemang Joshi from Gujarat has been named the new BJP national Yuva Morcha president

Joshi, 35, was elected as a Lok Sabha member from Vadodara in 2024. Beginning his political career with the ABVP, Joshi was appointed vice-chairman of the municipal school board in Vadodara. Last Dec, Joshi was appointed as the state president of BJP Yuva Morcha.

Rohan Gupta from Gujarat has been appointed as BJP national secretary

Gupta, 48, and Jagdish Patel, 61, have also been included in the national organization of the BJP. Gupta held several positions in the state and national units of Congress party before joining BJP in 2024.

Jagdish Patel from Gujarat has been appointed as BJP national secretary

Jagdish Patel represented the Amraiwadi assembly constituency in Ahmedabad between 2019 and 2022. The seat fell vacant in 2019 after sitting MLA Hasmukh Patel quit after being elected to the Lok Sabha.
